Currently, you receive a single bill reflecting your combined hospital and clinic amounts. With the transition, you will receive separate bills for hospital and clinic charges. Services that occur on or after March 12, 2022 will be billed from your new account in the SSM Health system. Family Accounts To enhance patient privacy, please be aware there will no longer be family accounts. Each patient will have his or her own account for services received on or after March 12, 2022. Paperless Billing Patients using SSM Health MyChart accounts are automatically enrolled in paperless billing. Billing statements will appear in MyChart and an email notification will be sent to you when a new statement from SSM Health is available. If you would like to receive your notifications via text, you can set your preferences in MyChart by accessing the communication preferences in the account settings. Frequently Asked Questions How do I access the new MyChart portal? If you have an SSM Health MyChart account: there will be no changes to your login information. If you have both an SSM Health MyChart and a Monroe Clinic MyChart: you can continue to use your SSM Health MyChart username and password to log into SSM Health’s MyChart and use your Monroe Hospital username and password to log into Monroe Hospital’s MyChart. If you have a Monroe Clinic MyChart and don’t have an SSM Health MyChart account: a new SSM Health MyChart account will be automatically created for you on March 4, 2022. You can log in using your Monroe Clinic MyChart username and password. If your username is not available, your username will be the same with the addition of ‘.MC’ at the end. As an example: JSMITH will become JSMITH.MC. If this happens, MyChart will send you a message to your Monroe Hospital account. Have Questions or Need Help? This feature can be turned on or off through your MyChart account settings. Will all my information be transferred to SSM Health MyChart? Not all of your past information will transfer to the SSM Health system. However, all of your information will be available through our medical records department and to our providers through an archival portal. SSM Health Monroe Hospital’s medical records department can be reached at 608-324-2235. How long do I have access to see my Monroe Clinic MyChart? You will have access to view your old Monroe Clinic MyChart for until approximately March 12, 2023. Please Note: changes made in your new SSM Health MyChart will not populate in your Monroe Hospital MyChart account. MyChart sends information through a secure interoperability network between healthcare providers, not over the internet. Your information is exchanged only for the purposes of treatment, which is covered under HIPAA. Will I be able to refill prescriptions online? After March 12,2022 you will be able to refill your prescriptions online through an online refill prescription form . Can I still do video visits with my provider? Yes. Rather than receiving a link from your provider, you’ll be able to connect with them through your SSM Health MyChart account. Need help setting up for your first video visit? Can I have proxy access for another patient in SSM Health’s MyChart? Yes. Depending upon the scenario, you may need to request access. Existing Monroe Clinic patients who have proxy access: access will be automatically transferred. Non-Patient proxy access (if you had proxy access but are not a Monroe Clinic patient, but still login as yourself to access the proxy account): isn’t available in SSM Health’s MyChart.
